My earliest memories of writing was when I was 6 or 7 years old. When I was this age my parents would buy me small notebooks when I asked for them. Some of them were meant for stories. I would make Up a title and write it on the front of the notebook. On the inside there would be a story that is around 3 pages of one story usually about an animal and his or her friends. The most writing I do now is for school. I have to write essays, readers entries, and current events. I think it is fun to write these because I can choose what to write about within a topic already chosen. I think that this is the most common writing I do because I am still learning. Writing about something may help me understand it more than I already do. As a writer, I think about what I am writing before I start. I usually make an outline so I have ideas and points that I won’t forget. I always revise and read over it before I turn it in. I do this so I do not have to rush through the paper I am writing. My writing portfolio includes different kinds of writing that I have completed for school. Some are about books, and others are stories I have written. I hope you read and like the pieces I wrote.
